Not my Day???

I went out to come with my friends on their job interview and examination. They asked me to come and i agree of course (making myself a good friend) haha... It took us a whole day to settle everything and it was nearly evening when we got home. On our way home the jeepney that we ride on drives like he was drunk (kaskasero! super!), everyone was so complaining... and after we had our second ride it became soooo traffic! We are about more than one hour on that certain place only due to heavy traffic, and it was so hot and we are all so tired.


When I got home I was so excited to turn my pc on to be able to check my mails and see if I have opps approved, but.... my computer suddenly got crazy, its not working! hmp! tried somany times plug and unplugging the socket but still.... it can't be turned on! I waited my brother to wake up from his sleep since he is working on a night shift thus he sleeps in the morning and wakes up at around 8pm, then I told him about my computer, he said there may be loose parts inside the CPU, we opened my CPU last week and reinserted the video card, maybe the reason for other parts to be loosed up. So I said maybe he could fix it up tomorrow. And right now I'm using his computer to check on my accounts... can't help it, i needed too.. :)

Dark Night.. Here I come! - Heath Ledger brings record crowds

This week me and my friends are planning to watch Dark Night, everyone says it was so good which made me excited to watch it already. It just started and now a Box Office Hit! One thing that excites me is to watch Heath Ledger on his Joker role. I know he did a great job on this. Weee!!! really exciting.. Got to bring good and enough snacks inside, they say the movie was a bit long, but was really worth it! So Dark Knight.. Here I come! :)

Anyways, I've read an article about the success of Dark Night, Joker made a big part on this.. sharing this to you guys.. :)

FANS keen to see Heath Ledger's performance in his final film have propelled The Dark Knight to a US box-office record.

Buoyed by excellent reviews, exceptional word of mouth and strong interest in the late Australian actor's last completed role, the Batman adventure yesterday set a record forany midnight debut.

The movie - which also stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Maggie Gyllenhaal - earned $US18.5 million ($19 million) from its midnight screenings in 3040 theatres.

The Dark Knight outstripped the previous midnight record, set by Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge Of The Sith.

That film, which had been eagerly awaited by Star Wars fans, grossed almost $US17 million from 3663 opening venues.

Some industry observers foresee The Dark Knight making as much as $US134 million over the weekend - another record.

The highest single-day opening record in the US is held by Spider-Man 3, which made $US61 million.

The Dark Knight, the follow-up to 2005's Batman Begins, opened in Australia on Wednesday and is also expected to break local box-office records.

Some Hollywood pundits are tipping Ledger for a posthumous Oscar nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role as The Joker.

"We've been thrilled by the response to The Dark Knight, first from critics and now from audiences,'' Warner Bros Pictures spokesman Dan Fellman said.

"From our earliest screenings, the buzz on the film has been white-hot ... and it hasn't let up.''

In the US, The Dark Knight was shown on a record number of movie screens nation-wide.

Across the country, 4366 theatres showed the film on its opening day, a figure that outstripped the wide bow of Disney's Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End, which touted a theatre count of 4362.

Batman Begins, which premiered in June, 2005, earned a whopping $US15.5 million on its first day.

Both films were directed by British writer, producer and director Christopher Nolan.

I'm Back!!! Missed Blogging! :(

Hi guys! it's been a very long time, from having net troubles to going on my grandma's place, it's been more than a week I guess??? My grandma's blood pressure went so high that she called me up to accompany her and for me to be able to monitor her Blood Pressure everyday, I've been there for 5 days I guess. Just after we fixed out our internet, which gave me a two to three days break from blogging then my grandma called me to go on her place, reasons for my disappearance here in this blogging world.. oh, i really miss you guys, heard from a friend that I've been nominated again last week, but wasn't able to make it even though (surprisingly) according to him I got the highest votes. Well votes is a great factor for winning but i guess its not enough for me to win it automatically, I did not blog for so long which means, no updates and no posts, no what so ever which I think is the main reason for my loss. But i've been thankful for my supporters and blogger buddies. Dagenuine is my blogger buddy which helped me out on votes, haha.. I didn't forced him to. Anyways, thanks a lot guys for voting!!! And... I've been nominated again!!! this is really crazy... i expect again for your votes guys! :) So from now on expect more from me, starting today... those who had left messages on my kookachat, i'll make sure that i'll attend to it, every single one of them.. Link exchanges and hellos, and whatso ever.. So.. It's nice to be back!! happy Blogging! :)

Net Trouble!

It's been almost two days since our internet connection got lost... Guess where I am now today? ? ? I'm in my friends house! haha... Requested her to lend me her computer for a while. I can't stay for a long time here, just visiting and check on what's happening on my blog now. My brother is still fixing the connection and already called the service(DSL) but still... we can't able to connect. I would like to thank my voters for still supporting my blog on two contests where I am nominated. I may not be back for few more days, I can't say what will happen, if it will fixed or not, but I hope you guys will be able to still support this Blog of mine on being "The Filipino Blog of the Week" and/or "Idol Blog08' of the Week". I Changed my Layout!

it's my first time to change a layout like this through the codes in the edit HTML of blogger. I just tried and tried until I could get the format that I want. I have another blog, "iAM-MAi", which is a collection of videos, pictures and others, any things that are in my interests, its just fun to share it so I made this blog, but there are just few posts in here, gonna work it our some other time. And so I find a template with a good format, has 3 column but then i thought that the sizes are too small especially the body, so i tried to edit the code, find where to fix. You know how complicated template layout codes are (as for first timers). And i tried to be careful as well... always have a preview first of the outcome on every code I change and don't ever click save! so that I would not repeat all over. again. So now, the first picture is the original layout, i forgot to capture the image of the old template. i just got this in technorati thats why the image is smaller. The second one is the edited one. Bigger body and everthe side bars have bigger widths, changed the header too... I really explore the code. So there.. happy to share it with you! :)

It has been my problem ever since, poeple linked my Blog as Emjie and not Emjei... haha.. is it really confusing especially if you just have a glaze on this name, read it as Emjie and not Emjei? :) I don't know, I've left a message to most of them, but these past few days I've realized that there are still large number of blogs in my kookalinks that linked me on this name, i just leave them, maybe if i don't have anything to do i'll just leave a message to them one by one and correct my link name on them. haha...

Anyways i'm really thankful that i have been nominated on these 2 contests, Filipino Blog of the Week and Blog Idol 08' of the week, actually I just nominated myself, just to try.. but i never expect that I will be nominated in this two at the same time.. haha, so i hope I could get more votes at anyhow and hope that i could win at any of this contests. Rain Rain..! Go Away???

oh no it's raining so heavily again, i've heard in the news that there are a big number of typhoon that the Philippines will encounter this year, and bad news is that some of them is compared to typhoon frank that really made a big problem to most people in this country. I hope everybody would be ready and i just hope that typhoons will never again give harm to people. It's really sad that many have lost their loved ones, main cause? Typhoon!

Well anyways, just missing my school days, but just a bit... months past whenever there are heavy rains like this, i'm in my classroom staring at the window and see how heavy the rain is. And most often classes are dismissed due to heavy typhoon.*Which is a good news to most students! I remember when our parents got angry when the rain pours so heavily in the morning and yet there are no announcement still that there would be suspension of classes, in the middle of the day, the rain never stopped and this is only the time when they announced that classes are suspended. And when we are about to get home, flood is too high already and we are having difficulty going home because of that. Stupid people, they must know the right time on when to suspend classes. And one funny thing, sometimes they announce that classes are suspended tomorrow and when that day comes, the sun is shining so bright above the sky and the weather is so good as fine. Whatever!!! haha... at least we don't have classes even though it's not raining anymore.. :)

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

Lesson learned: You must appreciate whatever things you might have at the present. It's true that we sometimes miss God's blessings because they are not packaged on what we expect, so we just have to continue our good deeds to others and we will absolutely feel God's Grace.
