Pacquiao Wins over Diaz: Pacquiao - The new WBC Lightweight Champion of the World

Pacquiao did it! He is now the new WBC Lightweight Champion of the World. I'm so lucky I've watched it live because of my brother. The game was so intense, i really have no background of this fighter "Diaz" but before the game starts, I heard that Diaz was quoted as "Dangerous Diaz" which made the fight more thrilling to watch. I just love boxing only if Pacquiao battles. The game starts well in favor of Pacquiao. I really thought that Pacquiao would be able to bring Diaz down at an early round but still, with so many punches that Paquiao delivered (very strong jabs and all that ), Diaz was still standing and you will really see that his endurance was so strong. Throughout the game Pacquiao was the one who gave the most punches and I think Diaz's score was not even half of Pacquiao's. Funny commentators, they are saying that if the opponent was not Diaz maybe it was kneeling down towards Pacquiao, begging to stop! Haha...and a horse would definitely be knocked out by this punches, but Diaz was really strong! I'm really amazed that he was able to stand those very big punches Pacquiao gave, he was like an Ironman or somehthing! They are also saying that Diaz was known for staying in the game for many rounds but knock's the opponent down at maybe around 9th or 10th round, so this made the game more thrilling. But this time, Pacquiao as his opponent, he never made it. On the 9th round Diaz was knocked down with a high speed punch that Diaz never thought it'll happen, "it was fuckin* fast!" as what he said when he was interviewed. The Philippines are again proud because of Pacquao's victory. This is now the fourth different weight class that Pacquiao has won a title in, he's really the king! The game is a "must watch". You don't wanna miss it,this as the fight of the year!

Goodbye to Four Idols

It's been an emotional day for these people whom ended their journey as an American Idol contestant, as what the judges have said, it's just the beginning and there are more opportunities to come, their experience are fantastic and forever be remembered and this is what AI had given them as a gift. Ramielle, a Filipina contestant is still going strong and i truly hope that she'll be a part of the top 12 contestants, or could be the next American Idol. Good song choice that could show her good vocals on every performance could make her stay longer and win the competition. Let's cross our fingers to that.

Heath Ledger, the Australian-born actor whose breakthrough role as a gay cowboy in the 2005 movie "Brokeback Mountain" earned him a nomination for an Academy Award, was found dead Tuesday in an apartment in Manhattan with sleeping pills near his body, the police said.

The police said Mr. Ledger, 28, was found naked on the floor near the bed in an apartment in SoHo that he had been renting. The chief police spokesman, Paul J. Browne, said the police did not suspect foul play.

“There was no indication of a disturbance,” he said, adding that there were no signs that Mr. Ledger had been drinking. Nor were any illegal drugs found in the loft, which takes up the entire fourth floor. Neighbors said Mr. Ledger had occupied it for several months.

Police officials said that a bottle of prescription sleeping pills was found on a nearby night table, but that they did not know whether the pills had anything to do with Mr. Ledger’s death. Officers who checked the apartment found other prescription medications in the bathroom. A spokeswoman for the medical examiner’s office said an autopsy would be conducted on Wednesday.

Mr. Browne said no obvious indication of suicide, like a note, was found in the bedroom.

Mr. Ledger had become a familiar figure in his SoHo neighborhood — and something of a fixture in gossip columns — since moving there after he broke up with the actress Michelle Williams who played his wife in “Brokeback Mountain.”

There were reports of hand-holding and lip-locking with various actresses and models, and sightings at restaurants and cocktail bars. He had clashed with paparazzi in Australia, but in New York, where there is no shortage of problem-causing partygoers, “he certainly wasn’t one of them,” said Paul Sevigny, an owner of the Beatrice Inn, a West Village club that Mr. Ledger frequented.

“He was really polite and nice,” said Mr. Sevigny.

The police said Mr. Ledger’s body was found after a masseuse arrived at the apartment at 2:45 p.m. for her regular appointment with Mr. Ledger. A housekeeper let her in and knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. No one answered.

The housekeeper and the masseuse pushed open the bedroom door and saw Mr. Ledger, unconscious, on the floor. They shook him but could not revive him, and then called for help, the police said. The housekeeper told officers that she had heard him snoring in the bedroom around 12:30 p.m., the police said.

A MAN'S best friend has joined the long list of animals that have been cloned in the laboratory.
But the scientists behind the world's first cloned dog have warned that the procedure is too dangerous to create carbon copies of favourite pets.


Snuppy, short for Seoul National University puppy, initially stirred admiration among scientists as dogs are among the trickiest of animals to clone.
The dog, grown from a single cell taken from the ear of a 3-year-old male Afghan, marks a milestone in the race to fabricate genetically identical dogs for research and as companion animals.

Since the anouncement of Dolly the sheep in 1997 scientists have cloned many different species, including mice, rats, cows, pigs, rabbits, cats, a mule, horses and a gaur - an endangered ox.

However, despite several attempts, a cloned dog has proved elusive because of the difficulty of maturing canine eggs in the artificial surroundings of a cloning laboratory.

Snuppy was born in April and was one of two cloned dog embryos to be delivered alive. The second, born in May, died of pneumonia three weeks after birth.

However, in total the scientists created 1,095 cloned embryos and implanted all them into the wombs of 123 canine surrogates.

Yet only three pregnancies were confirmed, one of which ended in a miscarriage.

Professor Ian Wilmut of Edinburgh University, who cloned Dolly the sheep, said that Professor Hwang seems to have successfully overcome the technical problems of cloning dogs by using a source of high-quality eggs.

Its official--Britney Spears is a lost cause. The MTV VMA’s are finally here and the big show is already under way. For the past few weeks there has been a lot of hype surrounding Spears’ supposed ‘comeback’ performance but let’s just say it was less than mediocre. She was wearing heels that she could barely walk in and her performance consisted of her going from one side of the stage to the other in a jeweled bra and panties lip-syncing.
Several sources that had seen Spears’ rehearsals this week said she was great, but her performance during the show didn’t live up to the hype. It was obvious she was really nervous. Criss Angel was supposed to be on stage with Spears as well but he was barely walking across the red carpet during her performance.

Simon Cowell: Britney's Career Is Over

It's easy to kick someone when their down which is why everyone and their moms are standing in line for a chance to bash Britney and her horrendous VMA performance.

Music mogul Simon Cowell has slammed Spears' MTV VMA appearance - insisting he wouldn't have let her perform if he was her manager. You and the rest of the world!

He says, "If I had been looking after Bitney, I'd have taken one look at her in rehearsals and I wouldn't have allowed her on stage. The song wasn't right, the image wasn't right and she just wasn't rehearsed.

"The problem she has now is that she could have killed her career. It's difficult to come back from that performance, for a while at least."

Despite getting bashed by the critics, the big bosses at 'Extra' have invited Britney to their studios to "show the world what you've got". They released the following statement: "'Extra' is opening its doors to Britney Spears for a second chance at a comeback.

"We've made the call to Spears, inviting her to perform at 'Extra' on our stage in Los Angeles or in Las Vegas at the Extra Lounge in Planet Hollywood's Hotel and Resort.

Homegirl needs damage control and she needs that shit fast! Another 'comeback' performance is the last thing she needs--especially if it's anything like her VMA performance.

Hollyscoop was on the red carpet at the VMA’s and asked the stars if they thought Britney was going to make a comeback and everyone seemed to be really excited and supportive.

Why Britney's Hair Was A Mess

We've been learning something new everyday ever since Britney's ill-fated VMA performance. Britney Spears’ outfit was obviously a big old mess during the show and it was just revealed that she refused to wear what was picked out for her. We also found out that Britney got into an argument with the hair people right before the show causing them to bail; hence, the mess that was her hair!

The only thing that looked halfway decent that night was her makeup. Thank God she didn’t fire her makeup person or it would be the Matt Lauer interview all over again. Remember the lashes?
"Britney had requested his two female assistants [to do her extensions] since she prefers women around her," and instead she got Ken Paves.
When Ken Paves showed up for her hair, it didn’t go too well with Britney and "He bailed," a source told PeopleMagazine.

Paves' rep said: "Ken made the professional decision not to do her hair for the VMAs."

Britney has become such a stubborn brat that no one wants to work with her. She was so busy being a puppet for everyone when she was growing up that she never had a chance to go throw her 'rebellious stage.' What do you guys think is next for Britney?
